Time: Registration from 5:30 PM. Racing from 6 PM. Junior/E grade registration 5:15pm, racing at 5:30pm.
Licences are required.
(All riders should bring their current licence or receipted application form to be able to race. We adopt a strict policy of No Licence No Race.)
Format: All grades D->A. Junior & E grade races: TBA.
If you raced last season you will be expected to race in the same grade this season. Lack of training is everyone's reason to go down a grade, and doesn't wash with the handicapper. If you have another justifiable reason to change grades please email firstname.lastname@example.org at least two days prior to your intended race and we will evaluate.
If you race at another location in Melbourne please enter the same grade at the Kew races.
Registrations from 5:30 PM
Competitors MUST attend race briefing for each grade, where the race format will be announced.
Racing starts at 6 PM sharp!
Entry fee: $10 HCC members, $15 non-HCC members, $5 all juniors.
Please note format for this season:
Junior/E grade (selected evenings only) 5:30PM, D&B grades 6PM, A&C grades appox. 6:40PM, Women Only A/B (selected nights only) approx. 7:10PM
1 km closed road circuit. 25-45 minutes + 3 laps.
Intermediate Sprints for C, B, and A grades.
Note: These events may be cancelled if conditions are hazardous due to wet roads or other unforeseen circumstances.
What does racing on a balmy Summer's evening look like at the Teardrop? The following three videos were produced by one of our members, Nick Chadderton, from the 2013/2014 Summer season and will give you a fair insight.
Take a look at what was captured in Season 2012/2013.
The 2012/2013 season also introduced two Women's grades as part of a four race Series. This video captures the highlights on one race night.
